Introducing: Unfading Daydream

Unfading Daydream is a literary magazine that strives to feature the genres that inspired us to start writing (science fiction, fantasy, horror, etc.). We want to showcase stories of all types – from romantic, to platonic – and especially ones featuring LGBTQ+ themes. Unfading Daydream will be published on a quarterly basis.

Unfading Daydream is a venture that Adelei Wade and I are taking on. We want to find a way to feature writers – both experienced and inexperienced – who write in the genres we love (sci-fi, fantasy, horror, etc). Genre fiction doesn’t always get the love in the publishing world that literary fiction does…yet there are plenty of amazing stories out there. We want to find those stories.

That’s where you guys come in~

We’re just about to open our first submission period! This means you’d have the opportunity to be published in the first issue of Unfading Daydream.

Basic Details:

  • We are open to established and new, emerging authors.
  • In terms of length, we’re looking for stories between 1000 and 7000 words. Shorter or longer stories will be evaluated on a case by case basis.

While we are brand new, we are offering monetary payment to those who we accept for publication. Stories that are between 1000-3000 words will receive $5. Stories that are longer than that will receive $10.  All contributors receive a hard copy of the magazine.

Camp NaNoWriMo: APRIL EDITION

Hey all! It’s been a bit since I checked in, hasn’t it? March has been incredibly busy and I’m having trouble believing that it’s already the 20th. I went to NakaKon in Missouri earlier this month and had a blast. It was great going around with two of my best friends and, in general, being huge nerds. I also found out that I can write 7 handwritten pages in an hour when I really feel like it. Thank you Iron Fic for teaching me that!

A big thing happening at the end of this month (MARCH 29th to be specific), is the Opus Crescendo Online Release! Join me in celebrating the release of Opus Crescendo, my fourth book. There will be giveaways, Q&As, and much more! The link is for the Facebook event, which is where all of the aforementioned things will be happening. Feel free to spread it around. Sharing is caring!

I’ve also been very caught up in my writing as well as playing Overwatch. Not every day that I sit down to write a fanfic for a friend (as payment for a few things) that’s supposed to be 2500 words and wind up with over 9000 words of pain and suffering~

And sins of a cybernetic empire continues to update basically on schedule.

Basically, things have been busy.

My Patreon hit it’s first stretch goal this week too! I just about started crying from happiness, I’m very flattered and touched when people pledge to my campaign. With $100/month coming in now, a series of one shot stories about each of the Opera in my Opus series will be written. The stories are going to be PATREON EXCLUSIVE, so if you’re interested, be sure to check out my Patreon~

ANYWAY…

Announcements, Accomplishments, and All That Jazz

writingHey all! Things have been going good in my neck of the woods. Good but busy! I’ve been working hard on Opus Requiem and currently am in the last three chapters. It’s really weird to be finishing the entire series up. I’ve also been preparing for the convention I’m going to be at next week (Naka-Kon, for those who are interested). I decided a bit ago that I was going to crochet one of my props for a casual costume. Of course I’ve waited until the last minute, right? But who doesn’t need a four foot long noodle dragon?

I’ve also learned that I will never make a four foot long noodle dragon as a commission for anyone ever.

Ever.

Anyway!

Onto the meaty bits of the post~
