Caught up in Everything: NaNoWriMo 2017

Hey all! Been awhile since I checked in. Things have been extremely busy, which I suppose is a good thing. Most of last month was spent finishing up one of the last route outlines for mana of silent sins.

The less good is that we had more water in the basement which gave us a lot of stress. Made writing hard.

Anyway, last month isn’t what this post is about.

This post is about this month.

November means National Novel Writing Month. Naturally, I’m participating. I think this is my 8th year straight that I’m participating. I’ve professed my love of NaNoWriMo before, not because WOO WRITING 50,000 WORDS IN A MONTH but more because ideas come out of NaNoWriMo. More because NaNo creates a drive in people, it makes them want to finish…when finishing a project is usually daunting and can be bittersweet.

This year I’m working on 404 error: connection not found. It’s a visual novel, but still a novel, so it counts for NaNo. It totally counts.

I’m a little behind right now. Today is the half way point, and I’m just over 21k. I can make it up easily enough.

I wish everyone the best on NaNoWriMo! Feel free to add me, you can find me HERE.

I’ll try to check in a bit more – expect some blog posts soon ❤

Happy writing!

Camp NaNoWriMo: APRIL EDITION

Hey all! It’s been a bit since I checked in, hasn’t it? March has been incredibly busy and I’m having trouble believing that it’s already the 20th. I went to NakaKon in Missouri earlier this month and had a blast. It was great going around with two of my best friends and, in general, being huge nerds. I also found out that I can write 7 handwritten pages in an hour when I really feel like it. Thank you Iron Fic for teaching me that!

A big thing happening at the end of this month (MARCH 29th to be specific), is the Opus Crescendo Online Release! Join me in celebrating the release of Opus Crescendo, my fourth book. There will be giveaways, Q&As, and much more! The link is for the Facebook event, which is where all of the aforementioned things will be happening. Feel free to spread it around. Sharing is caring!

I’ve also been very caught up in my writing as well as playing Overwatch. Not every day that I sit down to write a fanfic for a friend (as payment for a few things) that’s supposed to be 2500 words and wind up with over 9000 words of pain and suffering~

And sins of a cybernetic empire continues to update basically on schedule.

Basically, things have been busy.

My Patreon hit it’s first stretch goal this week too! I just about started crying from happiness, I’m very flattered and touched when people pledge to my campaign. With $100/month coming in now, a series of one shot stories about each of the Opera in my Opus series will be written. The stories are going to be PATREON EXCLUSIVE, so if you’re interested, be sure to check out my Patreon~

ANYWAY…

NaNoWriMo 2016 Finish Line

nanowrimo_2016_webbanner_winner_congratsHey all! I had meant to do more posts during November, but it got a little crazy for various reasons. That whole ‘sleeping through a weekend’ business put a damper on things. Then there was a busy weekend with a concert and a wedding…there was a lot of stuff going on in November. Oh, and Thanksgiving.

But as the banner says – I made it to 50k! My novel isn’t complete yet, there’s still five or six chapters left to write that I’ll be finishing up in the coming days (but at a slightly more leisurely pace).
