Camp NaNoWriMo – At the Finish Line

campnanoHey all! Been awhile since I checked in.  I took down Patreon for now.  I’ve been a bit stressed between writing novels, working for GERM, and working at taekwondo.  So I got overwhelmed. I picked a bad month to try and start the campaign.

It will come back once I feel a little more steady on my feet.

Anyway, the reason we’re here!  We’re in the last hour and a half of writing time for Camp NaNoWriMo for the central US timezone.  Am I writing now?  No.  I finished about a half hour ago or so.  Not only did I get my writing goal complete (40,000 in the month), but I completed the project I was working on.

Though I keep having this urge to add a sequel hook when I intend for this to be a standalone novel.

But I have a REALLY GREAT sequel hook.

Decisions, decisions…

So obviously Camp NaNoWriMo went well for me.  I hope it went for all of you.

Gearing up for Camp NaNoWriMo

campnanoHey all!  So while I was researching an article for GERM magazine, I wound up inadvertently signing up for Camp NaNoWriMo in the process.

Also turns out that I’ve been part of the specific Camp NaNoWriMo site since 2011.

Double whoops.  Didn’t realize that.

So I’m signed up on Camp NaNoWriMo with every intention of meeting my personal goal of 40,000 words (or completion of the damn project should that come first).  I think that’s entirely possible, especially with how awesomely I’ve been doing with my productivity sprints with some of my writing buddies.  I’m going to be working on a project that I’ve been trying to get completed for about a year and a half now.  I started it in 2012, but didn’t seriously start working on it until after 2012’s disaster of a NaNoWriMo.

It’s temporarily titled “Never”, which I hate.  I think I hate all of my temporary titles.  Too bad some of them wind up sticking to the project.   It’s sci fi/urban fantasy-ish.  I guess.  If I had to categorize it.

ANYWAY.  I’m on the Camp NaNoWriMo website as curseofpogo.  If you’re deadset on writing with me, let me know so I can put your name down as one of the people I want to write with!  Cabin assignment is in four days, so let me know soon!
